A few things that keep the night running and the list fair. Won't take a minute.

When it's your turn

We'll text you when you're up next, so keep your phone handy and stay where you can hear your name.
If you're not around when you're called, the KJ will move on to the next singer and come back to you.
If you miss that one, you will be skipped once more. After that if you miss again you will be moved to the bottom or removed from the Queue.
Can't find your song? Ask for it anyway — we'll do our best to get it before your turn, and we'll let you know either way.

If you are planning to sing a duet or with a group, it's best to sing it first, before anyone in your group has sang.
The position in the Queue for the duet or group will be determined by the position of the person (in the duet or group) who sang last. So, if no one has sang yet, you're good to go. If someone already has a song in the Queue, but hasn't sang yet, it will be up to them if they want to do the duet or group song first or moved to the next Queue.
There are some of us who get disappointed when we see someone sing twice before our time comes up. This is the only way the list stays fair on a busy night.
Sometimes the rotation can be long..
A little bit of patience goes a long way.
And yes, there are exceptions...a very slow night or private parties.
We're here to have a good time, sing, and keep the show moving along.

It is preferred that you stay in the area near the KJ when you are singing. It's a much safer area, where the KJ can provide assistance in case there is a problem.
It's preferred that you leave your drinks at your table with someone you trust.
Keep drinks well away from the equipment, cables and mics.
Good wireless microphones are not cheap. Please handle them with care.
Never take microphone from another singer or give a microphone to anyone other than the KJ. If you need another one, ask the KJ.
And when you are finished singing your song, please hand the Mic to the KJ.

Treat other singers, the staff, and the KJ with respect. Everyone who gets up there is doing something brave.
Cheer people on, whatever they sound like.
The stage belongs to whoever's turn it is. Don't join a song you weren't asked to join.

Anything not covered here, the KJ's call is the final one. If something doesn't seem right, come and say so — quietly, between songs.
