This policy explains what Ronnie B Karaoke collects when you use this website to request a song, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Ronnie B Karaoke is a karaoke and DJ service operating in Ohio. This site is run by us and is not a store — we don't sell anything through it and we don't run advertising on it.
What we collect
When you submit a song request, you give us:
- Your name, so the KJ knows who to call to the stage.
- The names of anyone singing with you, if you tell us. This is optional and free text.
- Your mobile phone number, so we can confirm it's really you and text you when your turn is coming up.
- The song you picked from our catalog.
We also keep a record of the requests you've made at a show, so the KJ can run the rotation fairly, and basic technical information such as the time of your request.
We do not ask for your address, date of birth, or any payment details, and the site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies we set are the ones needed to keep you signed in to your own request and to remember that your phone number has already been confirmed on your device.
How we use your phone number
Your mobile number is used for exactly two things:
- Confirming it's yours. We text you a one-time code when you first request a song from a device.
- Telling you your turn is coming. We text you when you're near the front of the singer queue so you can get to the stage.
We do not use your number for marketing. We do not send promotional messages, newsletters, or offers.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except for the messaging provider needed to deliver the message to you.
Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. The only party that receives your phone number is our SMS provider, Twilio, which delivers the messages on our behalf and is not permitted to use your number for its own purposes. Twilio's privacy policy is at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it's necessary to protect the safety of our staff or patrons.
How long we keep it
We keep the record of a night's singers so the KJ can manage the show and look back at what was performed. Your name and phone number stay associated with your requests so that regular singers don't have to confirm their number every visit. If you'd like your details removed, contact us using the details below and we'll delete them.
Your choices
- Stop the texts. Reply STOP to any message and we'll stop texting that number. You can still sing — just tell the KJ your request in person.
- Get help. Reply HELP to any message, or contact us below.
- Have your details deleted. Contact us and we'll remove your name and number from our records.
Children
This site is intended for use by adults at our shows. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Security
Requests are submitted over an encrypted connection. Phone numbers are stored so we can text you and are shown only in shortened form in the KJ's console. Access to that console is limited to Ronnie B Karaoke staff and protected by a password.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
